Get ready for the trip

Our canoe packages always include essential equipment, such as items useful for canoeing and a small first-aid kit. Additionally, you can rent a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, tent, and kitchen equipment. For some packages, we also offer food provisions as an optional add-on. Before your trip, consider what equipment you already have and what you may need to borrow or rent. This will help ensure you have everything necessary for a comfortable and enjoyable canoe adventure.

What to bring?

Whether you rent or bring your own equipment for accommodation and food, it’s important to carefully consider your personal gear, such as clothing, how much to bring and how to pack it. Given the changeable summer weather in Värmland, it’s important to be prepared for sun, rain, and mosquitoes. Pack everything in waterproof bags or containers, bring clothing suitable for varying conditions, including rain gear and a full change of clothes. If you don’t have waterproof packing sacks, you can use plastic bags to keep your items dry. The most crucial piece of equipment to keep dry is your sleeping bag. With a dry sleeping bag, you can warm up if you get cold, and even dry damp clothes in the sleeping bag at night.
